Carsten is a patent attorney and holds a PhD in biochemistry. He advises companies, private inventors and academics on projects related to intellectual property, in particular the protection of inventions in the field of molecular science in its broadest sense, including chemistry, pharmacy, biology/biotechnology, medicine, diagnostics, cosmetics foodstuffs, nanotechnology and materials.

Services offered include drafting, filing and prosecuting German, European and International patent applications, conducting oppositions and advising on patent ownership, infringement/freedom to operate, patent strategies and technology transfer.

Carsten is a German Patent Attorney as well as a European Patent, Trademark and Design Attorney and, as such, represents clients in proceedings with the German Patent Office, European Patent Office, German Federal Supreme Court and the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM). He is entitled to be heard in proceedings relating to IP-related proceedings at German civil courts.
